Fabian Cooney has worked for over 32 years with the Media Release

Members of the public are invited to attend a drop-in public
open house at the Arts Centre (24 Seymour St W, Madoc, ON
K0K 2K0)on Tuesday May 9, 2023, between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m.
to review and provide comment on the project.
Sierra Planning and Management was retained to develop the
plan. The first phase of the project, focused on identified needs
and opportunities, was finished in late 2022, and the second
phase which focused on developing strategic directions and
draft recommendations, is now nearing completion.
The purpose of the upcoming drop-in open house will be to
provide key highlights of the plan, its goals and objectives, and
next steps in implementing the recommendations. The
consulting team will be available to answer questions and
provide further background on the project.
The Municipality is collecting leaf and yard waste on your regular
waste pickup day only.
Spring pick up dates:
Rural : Week of May 1st
Madoc Village: Week of May 8th
Requirements:
Have your leaf and yard waste out by 7:00am on your regular
pickup day during the weeks above. Tie brush into bundles no
longer than 3ft. with material no larger than 2″ in diameter. Only
use paper yard waste bags. Each bag must not weigh more than
40lbs (18kg).

NOTICE:
Hydrant Flushing
The Municipality of Centre Hastings will be conducting fire hydrant
flushing as part of the maintenance program in Madoc from April
25th to May 31st, 2023.
Customers may experience discoloured water If you do, refrain
from doing laundry or using hot water until the water clears.
