Just a heads up to family and friends. As Loblaws ongoing
commitment to fight climate change we plan on eliminating
single-use plastic bags in the new year.
If we all start adapting to change
today the impact will go unnoticed.
TWEED & AREA ARTS COUNCIL
We finally caught up with Tweed & Company Theatre for a
photo opp for our donation toward the repairs at the Marble
Arts Centre following the July 24 tornado. They've had a busy
summer! The proceeds from the July 30 Fish Fry at Art in the
Park were donated to offset the insurance deductible. With an
additional $466 collected in donations that day and $538
profit from the Fish Fry, just over $1,000 was passed on to
Tweed and Co in early August. TAAC Chair Vicki McCulloch
presented the honourary envelope to Tweed & Co: Artistic
Director Tim Porter, General Manager Emily Mewett, and
TWEED HARVEST FESTIVAL Pres. Don DeGenova . The bulk of the work is now completed,

TWEED ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
We are so proud of our students for surpassing their goal of
raising $1000. We are pleased to announce that we raised
$2434.00 for the Terry Fox foundation, cut 8 inches of Mrs.
Curry’s hair and 8 staff members took a pie in the face. What
a fun filled day!
