OFFICIAL OPENING OF THE MOIRA LAKE BRIDGE CROSSING
On Tuesday, October 11th, 2022 the Municipality of Centre Hastings officially opened the Moira Lake Bridge Crossing. This
was a perfect day to dedicate this ambitious and vital infrastructure in Centre Hastings. This crossing will provide a safe
passage for all recreation usage for many years to come. The bridge truly provides an essential route for economic and
tourism growth in Centre Hastings.
In addition to the official opening, a
dedication ceremony was held on to
officially name the new bridge on Moira Lake
"Kramp Crossing". The dedication was done
in recognition of Daryl Kramp’s devotion to
the community and the years served as an
MP and MPP.
The former historic rail crossing will continue to deliver a means of crossing and forever stretch across the beautiful

CENTRE HASTINGS STORM RELIEF GAME
On October 17th , The Frankford Huskies and Port Hope Panthers played a regular season at Madoc and District Recreation
Centre Arena in Madoc.
The Madoc & District Recreation Centre Arena
hosted a fundraiser game between these two
teams, with proceeds going to victims from
this summer’s tornado that hit the Centre
Hastings region.
This fundraiser raised a grand total of 2,200
from the silent auction, chuck-a-puck, 50-50,
and ticket sales.

REMEMBRANCE DAY SERVICES IN CENTRE HASTINGS
The Huntingdon Recreation Committee is hosting a Remembrance
Day service on Sunday, November 6th at the cenotaph in Ivanhoe at
10:30 am. Since November 11th lies on a Friday, the group is
providing an opportunity for those who work and can not make a
Remembrance Day Service on November 11th.
The Madoc Legion is hosting a Remembrance Day Service on Friday,
November 11th at 10:30 am located at Thompson Park.
