HLA as an employee retention rate of over 75% over the last five years and over 98% over the last two years.
HLA has an employee growth rate of 146% over the last five years.
HLA offers FREEDOM and Flexibility to its staff and this remains one of its most valued and mentioned benefits.
Out of over 40 employees, all but two have either homeschooled or been homeschooled. This gives us an edge on providing the very best service to our families .
HLA strives to put every person in the "right seat on the bus" and work and positions come organically within the Company. The Lord brings the right people to HLA from a variety of backgrounds. Business and Music, Marketing and Software Development , even Criminal Justice - but at the heart are loyal, hardworking people that are leaders and givers.
Because we are family, we don't like the words evaluation, performance review, or appraisal. We want to TALK with our staff about what matters to us, what matters to them, insight, ideas, growth. Growth for HLA but as equally important, growth for each of our staff personally - How to help them grow in productivity, in awareness, in leadership.
Annually in October, we have STAFF TALKS. It allows Leadership to get new and fresh ideas and solutions to aid in making HLA better. The staff are the boots on the ground, the ones speaking daily with families. We value ideas and opinions and we hope each staff member values leadership insights and thoughts regarding the work that they do.
"The ear of the leader must ring with the voices of the people."
President Woodrow Wilson
It's so exciting each year to hear from staff. The wonderful ideas and thoughtful concerns are always welcome. We want to hear how HLA can do better and how we can reach out to the community and staff more. These are the important things at the core and culture of HLA and we depend on our staff to make sure that the culture remains with us and grows with us.
