Sports & Social 2020 Recap: 2020 hasn’t been an easy year. With lock-downs and restrictions, we haven’t been able to organise and enjoy our usual calendar of events. But we’ve been working to ensure our S&S members are getting the best out of their membership during this time. Here is a recap of some of the continued activities for S&S members this year.
We continued with our annual draws for our members!! Congratulations to all the winners so far! Watch out for more draws during October and November. Also our Annual 3 weeks of Xmas draws will see €6,000 given away. It could be you!!!
The 2019/2020 Panto saw the largest number of tickets sold EVER. A total of 1200 tickets were sold to our members!! WOW!! That was approx. 300 families. We hope you and your families enjoyed the event!!
We’ve continued to supply discount tickets to
your favourite venues including: Fota Wildlife park and the various cinema tickets. And don’t forget subsidies are available towards membership of Fota and your local gym!! Contact your S&S rep if you have any questions!!!
Unfortunately the 2020 Live at the Marquee was cancelled BUT not all is lost! Tickets purchased for the 2020 live at the Marquee are valid for 2021! These tickets will be raffled off next year!! Something for us to look forward to in 2021!
We’ve taken a S&S contribution holiday for 6 months (Aug ‘20 to Jan ‘21). This means a €33 saving to each member (while still retaining your full membership). Plus the company contribution for that 6-month period (€27,500) was donated to the CSR team. I know this funding will be put to great use by our chosen charity (St Paul’s).
This year we offered our members a giveaway. Members had the choice of a €25 Xmas voucher & a new S&S top OR a €60 voucher.
All this was done while supporting some local suppliers/businesses.
The S&S tag rugby club, which is played all year round, saw the team win the 2019/2020 Winter league. Just look at their celebration!!!
We thank all members for your continued support and can’t wait to get back on the pitch come 2021.
