COWORKER
security
Robbery (continued) WELCOME & ORIENTATION / TRAINING ROADMAP
Once a robbery has occurred
in your store, LOCK THE DOORS,
and then call 911 immediately—
again, only if the suspect has left, you
are not visible to the suspect, and you are
completely safe to do so. The police will ask
you for facts:
• The time the robbery took place
• What the suspect looked like (height,
weight, hair/eye color, etc.)
• What they were wearing
• If they had a weapon
• If you saw their vehicle
• Any other things that stood out to you
during the situation.
Write down as much as you can remember
before the police arrive. This will ensure
you don’t forget the details for the law
enforcement officers when they arrive. If
any customers were in the store during
the robbery, ask them to stay behind, if
possible, so that they can give officers
details of what they saw, too.
