            PROGRAM FLOW
Ministry of Helps (MOH) Program Flow
Below is the flow for the Ministry of Helps (MOH) Program. Many churches have used this flow and it has proven to work very well.
A Name needs to be given to your MOH program.
A MOH application needs to be designed listing all the MOH helps departments and skill sets categories for your church (we have samples for you to get ideas from).
A MOH video needs to be produced using people in your church showing your different helps departments in action (we have videos from other churches to get ideas from).
The senior pastor and/or team will preach 2-4 Sundays in succession on the subject of helps ministry and the biblical meaning (examples: preach on serving, talents, organization etc.)
The MOH video and the MOH application that is designed for your church will be played and the application passed out every Sunday Pastor is preaching on the subject of the helps ministry.
It is encouraged that EVERYONE: staff, leaders and entire congregation is given and completes a MOH applica- tion. The MOH application will also need to be explained from the platform on “How to be Filled Out”.
a. Complete information at top of application: name, address etc. BUT most importantly make sure the applicant enters in a contact number (Cell # or home phone #) and their Email address. And make sure it is legible / readable. b. Instruct the congregation to select “3” Helps Departments that they are interested in helping in, by labeling 1, 2, 3. (1) being their most desirable, (2) their second choice and (3) their third choice.
c. Located under the Help Departments is the ‘Skill Sets” section. Instruct the congregation to place a check mark or X beside ALL skill sets that they feel they possess or have the ability to do or are interested in doing.
A drop-off point needs to be determined for all completed applications to be turned into.
Each person that filled out a MOH application should receive a phone call within one week after the church received their application. The phone call thanks them for their participation in the MOH program and lets them know their
application is being processed.
The Church will have a "MOH Kick Off" 2-4 weeks after the last Sunday sermon is preached on the ministry of helps.
The Kickoff is a special meeting for ONLY those that filled out an application. The MOH Program is explained in more detail and lets each person know that this is their ministry they signed up for not a volunteer position.
Creating excitement for the coming of the MOH program has also worked well in many churches. Some put up on the corner of their platform an easel with a sign covered and let people guess what it is about, others just have a sign saying “It’s Coming” and let their congregation guess what “It” is. You can use your imagination and come up with many ideas to cause excitement for the unveiling of Your MOH Program.
