Soul winning is the number one thing a church must do.
Matthew 28:19-20 (KJV)19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
The only thing we can take with us when we leave this world is Souls!
How do we know this? We know it first of all from the Bible’s explicit teaching. When King David’s infant son was taken from him, David felt his loss very keenly — but he also knew he would see him again. David declared, “Can I bring him back again? I will go to him” (2 Samuel 12:23). When Jesus was transfigured (or changed) before the eyes of some of His disciples and they saw a glimpse of His heavenly glory, we’re told that Moses and Elijah appeared with Him — proof that we retain our individuality in heaven (see Luke 9:28-36).
Proverbs 11:30-31 (KJV)30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.31 Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: much more the wicked and the sinner.
Who win souls is wise. We all are populating heaven by doing this, we are stealing from the devil: snatching them right out of hell to everlasting life.
Let’s look at verse 31--the word (recompensed) the Hebrew word is (shä•lam') 1. to be in a covenant of peace, be at peace.
2. to be complete, be sound.
3. to make whole or good, restore, make compensation.
4. to make good, pay.
5. to be repaid, be requited.
God is saying who wins souls is wise. God is also saying I am God who rewards, I will recompense the works you are doing to populate my kingdom!
Your outreach program for soul winning is the key for your church to stand against anything the world brings to you to take you out. If you do not have a church that is winning souls, you need to ask yourself, what are you doing? How are you popu- lating heaven? We must stop souls from going to Hell and one way is to go soul winning on you streets proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ - there will come a day you will see the harvest of souls you are responsible for, then you will hear; Matthew 25:23 (KJV)23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
