Tip: I know the most challenging thing for most painters to master is blending two values. It’s often either over- or under- blended. I started as an oil painter but taught acrylic classes for many years. I incorporated floating and blending into one. When going on to the next value load your brush with both values and use that as your gradual change to the next value. Or use your brush as you would float a color.
