The inspiration for this design came from our one-year- old granddaughter Casey, who loves to play Peek A Boo!
Note: When a “recipe” for a color mix is given, it is in the order that the colors are listed. I find it helpful to think of chocolate chips when putting paint on my palette for mixing. When you see tch referenced, it is an abbreviation for " just a touch" or a tiny amount of the color listed. Let’s look at
the recipe for Light Red Mix; for example, 2:2:1 means two chocolate chips of Vermilion + one chocolate chip of Napthol Red Light + one chocolate chip of Titanium White. Next, look at the mix for Light Yellow Mix. The recipe for Light Yellow Mix is 1:tch or 16:1. This means one chocolate chip of Titanium White + just a tiny amount of Yellow Light, or if you want to mix a lot of this color, you can mix sixteen chocolate chips of Titanium White + one chocolate chip of Yellow Light.

Deep (1:1:1) PREPARATION
Lightly sand all the surfaces. If necessary, fill any imperfections in the wood with J.W. Etc. Professional Wood Filler and let it dry completely. Sand again lightly. Transfer only the basic design lines with black transfer paper.
Basecoat the hat, hatband, neck ribbon, bow including
the wooden bow, and the pumpkin with Light Yellow Mix. Basecoat the cat and the buckle with Light Gray Mix. When the basecoats are dry, transfer the rest of the design lines. For these, mix the paint for your first coat with JoSonja All Purpose Sealer 2:1. For subsequent coats, as many as it takes to get opaque coverage, mix your paint with 10% JoSonja Clear Glaze Medium. You can always use JoSonja Flow Medium to thin your paint if necessary also. JoSonja Flow Medium will thin your paint without breaking down the binder in the paint.
