HAT AND PUMPKIN
PUMPKIN EYE DETAIL
Pumpkin Eye Detail
As with most eyes, you want to keep the detail casual and not too bold or perfect. Moisten the eye area with Retarder Medium and temper. Glaze the pupil with Medium Gray Mix. When the surface is dry enough not to bleed together, glaze the iris with Medium Green Mix. Dry completely.
Hatband and Buckle
The hat band has linework using Medium Green Mix.
Ribbon and Bow
To basecoat, retard and temper the surface as described previously. Moisten a no. 8 flat brush with Retarder Medium and pick up a little Medium Green Mix; blend on the wax palette to make a glaze. Brush the glaze over the bow and ribbon area on the main surface and the cut-out piece. Use a Possibilities brush to smooth any brush strokes and dry completely. On the cut-out piece, only add linework with Dark Green Mix.
