 Pumpkin Eye Detail
Shade and line the iris with Dark Green Mix. Line the pupil with Carbon Black in the fashion
of a tornado using a combination of a no. 2 short liner first and then overstroke with a no. 10/0 liner using the same color. Still using Carbon Black and the liner, line the eyelash line, eyelashes, the back of the eye in the shaded area, and the iris in the shaded area. Dry completely.
The back of the eye, nose, and mouth cut-outs are shaded with Dark Yellow Mix and glazed with Yellow Light.
Hatband and Buckle
Emphasize the linework in the shaded areas of the hatband with an over-stroke of Dark Green Mix. Shade the hatband with Dark Yellow Mix. The buckle is basecoated with a glaze of Medium Gray Mix. Line the buckle with Dark Gray Mix to Deep Gray Mix.
Ribbon and Bow
Shade the first layer with Dark Green Mix using a no. 8 flat brush.

 Kitty
Retard and temper the surface as previously described. Use a no. 8 flat brush to a no. 12 filbert brush loaded in Retarder Medium and Medium Gray Mix to float the first layer of shading. Use the Possibilities brushes to blend and soften. Dry completely. Dry-brush the kitty using a no. 12 filbert brush loaded with a small amount of Clear Glaze Medium and Medium Gray Mix. Emphasize the shading and walk the color out, creating texture in the furry areas with shape- following strokes to begin an indication of fur. See the line drawing for the direction of the strokes.
