Hat and Pumpkin
Kitty Eye Detail
Shade the bottom of the yellow part of the iris with Dark Yellow Mix. Shade the green part of the iris with Dark Green Mix. Line the pupil in a tornado fashion using Carbon Black with a no. 10/0 liner brush. Line the iris in the shaded areas with Carbon Black. The eyelash line and the eyelashes are Carbon Black. Dry completely.
Shade the hat and pumpkin with Deep Orange Mix, using the same techniques as in Step 2. This color should be used in the darkest shaded areas only. When dry, emphasize your linework in the darkest areas with Deep Orange Mix. Dry completely.
Glaze the hat and pumpkin. To accomplish this glaze, brush the entire areas to be glazed, one area at a time, with Clear Glaze Medium, quickly load a no. 12 filbert brush with Clear Glaze Medium and pick up a small amount of Yellow Light; blend on a wax palette to make a glaze. Brush this glaze casually over the entire hat and pumpkin avoiding the facial features on the pumpkin. Highlight the buckle with Light Gray Mix.
HAT AND PUMPKIN
Pumpkin Eye Detail
Shade the inside of the eye. Use a no. 8 flat brush loaded with Carbon Black to float. Lay the color against the eyelash line and float into the eye softly to cover about 1/3 of the area. Highlight the eyes with Titanium White.
