The Klad Proclamation is the original text of the proclamation which was handwritten by
Soekarno himself as the recorder, and was the result of a composure (essay) by Hatta and Achmad
Soebardjo. The drafters of the proclamation of indonesian independence consisted of Tadashi
Maeda, Tomegoro Yoshizumi, S. Nishijima, S. Miyoshi, Mohammad Hatta, Soekarno, and
Achmad Soebardjo.
The young men who were outside asked that the text of the proclamation sound loud. But
Japan did not allow it. Some of the words demanded are "surrender", "given", surrendered", or
"seized". Finally, what was chosen was the "transfer of power". After being formulated and read
in Japanese homes, the contents of the proclamation were broadcast on Japanese radio.
