Apem is a typical Javanese food made from a mixture of rice flour and wheat flour. Apem
or apam is believed to have come from Ki Ageng Gribig who brought him home from the
pilgrimage in Mecca. According to the book Learning from Traditional Javanese Food, Ki Ageng
Gribig was a cleric during the Mataram era. Ki Ageng Gribig preached to spread Islam, especially
               in Jatinom, Klaten, Central Java.
