Born to be Wild
Biker jackets have been a part of fashion’s zeitgeist forever and they are not going anywhere, according to this season’s runways. Just look
to Versace, Khaite, and Louis Vuitton for
proof. Versace leaned into the simplicity of the original biker jacket with a slim, structured fit, and contrast stitching. The elevated sportswear brand, Khaite, debuted an oversized, cropped jacket paired with a button-down maxi dress,
and another with large, round embellishments on the top half. Elsewhere in Louis Vuitton’s Cruise 2023 Collection, Nicolas Ghesquière reimagined the traditional biker jacket using a metallic silver fabric with broad, over-exaggerated shoulders and fringe detailing.
