At Soroka/University Medical Center, inventory management in the warehouse is carried out via computerized orders and direct coordination with various departments. The goal of this project is to improve and optimize the ordering process and to define minimum and maximum inventory levels by conducting a work study and establishing inventory policies based on demand forecasts.
We analyzed existing warehouse operations, including work sampling, to assess employee workload and improve inventory supply times. Forecasts were made using established methods. Additionally, we demonstrated how to improve the conditions of the warehouse workers while maintaining standard inventory levels. The compatibility of the current system with SAP is being assessed towards the goal of improving ordering methods and transition from manual forms to computerized reports.

Managing a dental hygiene clinic requires efficient coordination of administrative and operational tasks. The goals of this project are to develop an information system that streamlines workflow including: appointment scheduling; automated reminders; and medical and financial record management. The main challenge was designing a user-friendly system for a small clinic, considering the hygienist’s limited technological proficiency. Data collection involved interviews, workflow analyses and system evaluations. The developed prototype will enable patients to book appointments online, receive reminders and access treatment history, while also providing financial tracking for the hygienist. Implementing this system is expected to optimize operations, reduce manual workload and enhance patient satisfaction.
