This project was designed to optimize syrup production in the Syrup Production Department of the “Tavliney Maimon” factory. We estimated the employees’ workloads and machine utilization using a work sampling study and determined standard production times and employee efficiency. The annual demand forecast for the main products was performed using forecasting models and index errors. We determined an optimal inventory policy based on the annual demand rate and other parameters. Quality control methods were also applied to measure defect rates, identify types of defects and analyze their root causes using control charts and Pareto analysis. The findings provide actionable recommendations for increasing production capacity, reducing waste, reducing operating costs and improving product quality - ultimately improving overall performance and decision making within the organization.

This project was carried out in collaboration with “Kavim u-Maḥshavot.” The application features an AI-powered chatbot that helps with structured decision making; it is a task management tool with personalized notifications and mindfulness-based guidance. We reviewed existing solutions and conducted interviews with ADHD specialists, as well as potential users. Prototypes were developed and tested in focus groups, and we incorporated feedback from both experts and users. The proposed solution is meant to enhance productivity and improve the lives of individuals with ADHD via the use of AI.
