This project was conducted in the Packaging Department of “Adama.” First, we studied the packaging process and conducted a relevant literature survey. We used work sampling and observations to determine the workload and line capacity. The workstation cycle times and standard packaging time for a single jug were then established. A forecasting model was selected, based on standard error metrics to estimate future demand. Based on our forecast and estimation of the ordering costs, we proposed an appropriate inventory policy. Control charts and a Pareto chart were created to identify key defects in the process, leading to further recommendations. Finally, we built a simulation of the packaging process using Arena software.

In this project, we evaluated the traditional stone cladding process and compared it to an innovative method based on the “Avidan Levy” patent. This new approach integrates stone cladding with concrete wall casting, making the stone an integral part of the structure without the need for separate sealing and cladding stages. Our analysis revealed that this innovative technique shortens project timelines by approximately 15% and reduces construction costs by about 17%. Additionally, by conducting work within the building’s perimeter, this method enhances worker safety, significantly lowering the risks of falls and injuries. Based on these findings, we recommend that contractors consider adopting this new method in future projects, since it leads to more successful and profitable outcomes.
