A-797: The project imports developed module in ICES is aimed to cover the following processes:
(a) Registration of a Project and generation of a Project number;
(b) Bond Registration for Project Imports;
(b) Filing of provisional Bills of Entry with project number and bond details. Item wise
debits in the project/bond for every Bill of Entry;
(d) Finalisation of the Provisional Bills of Entry and re-crediting of the Bond
(i) Registration:
Project Registration functionality has been developed on the lines of licence
registration. Following points may be ketp in mind while registering a project;
(a) Scheme code for project registration shall "PI";
(b) All items of import have to entered with quantity and value;
(c) Default validity for the project has been kept as 84 months and the
same may be amendable;
(d) The limitation factor would be B - both value and quantity;
(e) Sponsoring authority's certificate details to be provided to enter in
the system;
(f) The correct sponsoring authoirity details to be provided at the time
of registration of project;
(g) Previously, provisional bond with code PD is registered. Now for the
project imports the bond has to be registered under the new bond
category "PI". The bond number generated with code "PI" to be
given during registration.
(h) Value (CIF) in foreign currency (FC) is mandatory
Once the registration is complete, the same will be approved by the
Superintendent/Aprraising Office in Project Import Section. Once, it is approved, a 10 digit
numbr Project Registration Number would be generated by the system with the first two
