This edition of the EDIT is all about PHD’s latest publication; MERGE. A year in the making, MERGE builds on our previous thinking – speci cally Beyond The Horizon and Sentience
– to describe the profound changes that technology will drive over the next three decades.
Understanding the MERGE is important because being able to describe these coming changes forearms us for the world to come
— so that we’re ready for it when it arrives. It’s important as it informs the recommendations we make for our clients — from next generation bots to mixed reality experiences, the MERGE will bring new opportunities and challenges for marketers. And the MERGE is important because
it keeps us curious; asking the right questions and exploring how different things could be, is the foundation
of the thought-leadership for which PHD is now well-known.
MERGE is perhaps our most challenging book and thinking to date. It should be. As our world speeds up, our thinking needs to be able to run ever faster and further to keep pace with it.
