The publication of this book could not have been possible but for the

efforts put in by a large number of individuals. We would like to express
our heartfelt thanks to Executive Board of Aravali Foundation for Education
(AFE) for its encouraging support for putting together this book.

Conservation Education Program of AFE, in a variety of formats,

involves more than 1800 school students as participants each year.
The primary trigger that led to this book was the information needs of the
participants of AFE’s educational programs. In that context, we would like to

thank Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India; Ministry of Environment
and Forests, Govt.of India and Department of Environment, Govt. of NCT
Delhi for financial support for various conservation education activities of
AFE in the field of Conservation Education, over the years.
