companies more competent and efficient

TERM production of qualified and well trained seafarers to the shipping industry

Provide adequate facilities to seafarers to pursue higher studies in the maritime field
and openings to undertake shore jobs in the maritime industry in between sailings in
order to make the seafaring as an attractive and knowledge based profession

With this knowledge acquired both on ships and ashore, India has the potential to
transform itself into a country capable of exporting knowledge to the world shipping
rather than that of a skilled manpower supplying nation
