New recruit reveals all
Sharing the load from day one
Hi, I am Alexander Härning and I have been doing an industrial management traineeship at delta pronatura since September 2015. Over this peri-
od, I have already had a chance to work in various departments: Accounting, Controlling, Purchasing, Private Label, IT, Sales and Distribution. At the moment, I am in Trade Marketing, and due to the current sta shortage, have been able to take on im- portant projects from the start. I have to draft weekly and monthly sales reports on our products and key clients. There are always seven customised reports in total, some of which are sent to all sta and some to speci c individuals.
I also get to supervise a project throughout my en- tire training period: I have to ensure that all existing information on our distributors remains up-to-date. In addition, I am involved in a further collaborative project with the other two on-site students and res- ponsible for the in-house shop for employees – with all its associated tasks such as planning of tenders, sell-o s and their evaluation.
There is always plenty to do but due to exible wor- king hours, you are able to decide when you start in the morning and how you organise your breaks. Though of course you have to seek approval from the head of department and keep to core working times!
What I most like about delta pronatura is that it is
a medium-sized business with family ties. You get to know processes, the departments and teams very quickly. And within no time, you feel warmly accepted by relevant members of the department and receive help whenever you have questions. Yes, and I have already mentioned being entrusted with responsibility from day one.
