Transducer Work Shop – HBM and BK Transducers
This is a two part course.
HBM will provide Design-, Test- and Manufacturing engineers the basics of reliable measurement of mechanical quantities such as Strain, Torque and Force with complementary digital signal conditioning. The participants will learn how to choose the right HBM measurement chain for Torque and Force to accelerate product and component testing. A key role with HBM`s measurement systems plays the perfect fit between sensor and digital signal conditioning to increase yield and reduce the measurement uncertainty budget for a more productive measurement.
Bruel & Kjaer wlll share the latest in transducer technology for those in the sound and vibration measurement space. Focus is on the tools and techniques that make sure that the correct data is acquired the first time. After this course, you will have a deep understanding of microphones and accelerometers – their design and manufacture. You will also know how to choose the right transducers for different applications, and how to handle them. New technologies that can simplify your measurement set up will be introduced as well.
Objectives
• Introduce transducer technology for strain, force, vibration, torque and acoustics.
• Understand proper transducer selection criteria
• The differences between different types of transducers in the same category.
• Basic maintenance and service of transducers Prerequisites – None required
Participants – Everyone interested in transducer technology, those with questions about various types and those responsible for maintaining instrumentation.
