INSTALLATION AND STARTUP
Chapter 9 Optional “Add-On” Items
Wheel Cleaning and CTA Options
Wheel Stingers and Freestanding CTA - Utility Connections
Applicators
3) Run 1/2” and 1/4” poly-flow tubes from the tees of the Primary Applicator through the
cross over tube to the Secondary Applicator mount across the bay.
Pressure Switch
1) The Bell-Hose that was previously mounted across half the bay has to be connected to
the pressure switch inlet port. As vehicles run over the hose, it compresses. The resulting
displacement of air moves the diaphragm within the pressure switches enclosure.
2) This switch should be mounted to the wall so that a 1/4” poly-flow tube can be connected
to the hose port. The switch can be mounted in a back room. The 1/4” poly-flow tube will
push up into the hose port on the electrical enclosure. The other end of the tube is to be
connected to the air fitting on the Bell-Hose Mount.
3) Run field supplied S-O cord that will meet codes in your area from the enclosure on the
delivery pumping panel to the pressure switch enclosure. This will be wired normally
open.
MixStir® Holding Tank and Delivery Pumping Panel
1) Install a 3/4” ball valve to the main inlet water line will have to be run to the Hydro-Minder
inlet. A ball valve should be installed on this water line. There should be a hose between
the main supply lines to the inlet on the Hydro-Minder.
2) Install a 1/2” ball valve to the field supplied main air line that will connect to the inlet of the
1/2” electric valve on the delivery pumping panel. This will supply compressed air to the
air pump and foam air regulator. This supply line should have a ball valve installed as
well.
