AUTO FLUID INJECTION SYSTEM (AFIS)

Initial Startup

1) Turn on the water supply to the AFIS™.
2) Energize the solenoid and check for leaks. If any leaks are discovered, make the necessary
adjustments to repair them.
3) Turn off the power (de-energize).
4) Trim the pick-up line so the foot valve makes contact with the bottom of the solution products
drum.

CAUTION

DO NOT ALLOW THE FOOT VALVE TO LAY FLAT IN THE DRUM. IT MUST BE
VERTICAL.
5) It is now time to prime the pump. To do so, energize both solenoid and metering pump.
6) Open the bleed-off valve located at the top of the pump outlet.

7) Once the chemical is flowing out of the bleed-off tube, turn the valve off and let the chemical fill the
outlet tubing.
8) Once the lines are filled, set the pump to the desired flow rate.
CAUTION

PUMP MUST BE RUNNING WHEN THIS ADJUSTMENT IS MADE!!!

9) Run the pump until air cannot be seen in the system.
10) Adjust pump for desired application.
