Chapter 2 Preventative Maintenance
Monthly Inspection List
General
Inspect all fasteners and anchors on the frame and other components.
Clean the air filter regulator coalescent.
Clean the rails of any dirt, oil, or film to prevent roller slippage.
Floor Mounted Frame
Check all floor anchors and frame leg and head beam bolts. Tighten or replace as needed.
Wall or Freestanding Leg Mount Boom Assembly
Inspect all threaded rods and bearing mount bolts. Repair or replace as needed.
For a Freestanding Mount check all floor anchors and the boom mount clamps and bolts.
Tighten or replace as needed.
Check for hose wear throughout the boom assembly. Repair or replace as needed.
Carriage Assembly
Inspect the entrance sonar distance and angle. Verify the settings at the HMI (E-1063 Human
Machine Interface).
Open the entrance and exit utility covers.
Inspect all hoses for rubbing or wear around the water manifold area. Repair or replace as
needed.
Inspect the rollers for wear. Repair or replace as needed.
Spot Free (RO) Supplied by Pur-Clean
Note: See Chapter 3 for the following procedures.
Replace the pre-filter on the incoming water line.
Clean the water stabilizer.
Verify the product flow and pressure reading of the unit. Adjust as needed.
If you unable to get within factory specifications, the membrane should be cleaned.
Note: Refer to the Pur-Clean manual for all factory specifications and more in-depth
maintenance.
Entrance/Exit Arm Assemblies
Grease the arm wheel bearings and arm pivot bearings (16 total).
Verify that the water nozzle patterns are properly spraying onto the wheel.
Verify that the eight 1/2-20 fasteners located on the clamp assemblies that hold the entrance
upper and lower shafts in place are tight.
Top Wheel
Grease the top wheel bearings (2 total). Clean and lightly apply grease to the counterweight
gears.
Photo-Eye
Check the alignment of the Photo Eyes.
In order to eliminate any buildup that may have occurred during daily operations, clean the
lens on the photo-eyes using a mild non-abrasive cleaning solution.
Inspect each Photo Eye frame for cracks. Repair or replace as needed. Verify that all of the
Photo Eye anchor bolts are tightened.
Wash the Photo Eyes with a good degrimer such as Tide laundry detergent and hot water.
