FAQ’s

                          How is Green Burial different

                                 than Natural Burial?

Our Green Burial Garden follows the rules of the Green Burial Society of
Canada, including no embalming, direct earth burial, ecological restoration &
conservation principles, communal memorialization, and the optimization of
land use. No cremated remains are permitted in the Green Burial Garden.

The other gardens in our cemetery allow for a “green burial” - the body
does not have to be embalmed, no vault/liner is required allowing for direct
earth burial, and the use of a burial shroud is permitted. The main difference
between these “Natural Burial” sections and the “Green Burial Garden” is
the plots are able to accomodate cremated remains in addition to the body
burials, the specific plot can be chosen by the Purchaser in advance, and
individual memorialization (such as headstones/markers) are allowed.
