Summer at the Zoo
Like Never Before

Share a Snack

Guests can get up-close and personal with some
of Brookfield Zoo’s most beloved animals during
our summer Giraffe Feedings, back by popular
demand for their second year. For $10, guests
can purchase tasty treats to feed to the reticulated
giraffes at Habitat Africa! The Savannah while
talking with an animal care specialist about these
magnificent creatures. Giraffe Feedings occur daily
this summer (weather permitting) from 10:30 a.m.
to noon and 1 to 2:30 p.m., or until greens run out,
and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Meet and Tweet

On the hottest summer days, visitors can cool off
indoors while making some new friends. Just head over
to The Living Coast and participate in one of our
Penguin Encounters. During the 45-minute experience,
guests will have the chance to meet some of our
Humboldt penguins up close while learning about our
conservation efforts for their wild counterparts. Penguin
Encounters cost $40 per person and occur at 2 p.m.
on weekdays and at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on weekends.

NEW! Take a Cinematic Journey
Take a journey across the plains and deserts of Africa,
or travel back in time to meet the dinosaurs! Visit our
new 3D theater in the Discovery Center to enjoy an
incredible immersive nature experience. The 25-minute
3D films—Wild Africa and Walking with Dinosaurs:
Prehistoric Planet 3D—alternate throughout the
day, with a showing starting every half hour. Pricing
for members is $6 for adults and $4 for children.
