Credentialing Requirements
Apart from licensure, medical practitioners are also subject
to credentialing and privileging requirements in facilities
where they work, in groups that employ them, and sometimes
by payors who reimburse them. Obtaining and maintaining
credentials can be more rigorous than licensing. In addition,
many facilities and groups enforce privileging requirements to
perform specific procedures. All of these are considerations for
telemedical practice.
