Ceilings




                  Task – Ceilings

                  Purpose: to understand how ceilings are created, modeled and placed:


                  1.    Navigate to Ceiling Plans ► (01) Stue in Project
                        Browser and click on Ceiling tool:



                        Architecture ► Build ► Ceiling


                  2.    Ceilings are modeled with type “Compound Ceiling
                        – 600 x 600 mm Grid”, selected in Properties.

                        The height above the floor is set to 2800






                  3.    Create ceilings with Automatic Ceiling combined with Sketch Ceiling and customize
                        with the Modify tools.









                        On 1. floor ceilings should be placed between grid lines 5 and 9, 3300 mm above the
                        floor. It may be necessary to adjust the View Range for Ceiling level. If the ceiling is not
                        visible in that View, Revit will display the following warning:









                  4.    When the ceilings has beeen created, hatching lines can be selected independently.
                        Then, use Align and Rotate to get ceiling skraveringerne corrected so they are aligned to
                        each other.
