EXPORT TO DWG

Task - Export to DWG

Purpose: To understand how drawings are exported to DWG

1. Navigate to a dimensioned floor plan in Project Browser

2. Export View via:

File Tab ► Export ► CAD Formats DWG

3. In the dialog box, select Current View / Sheet Only and click Next

Select a location and a name for the file and press OK

4. Locate the file in Windows Explorer and double-click it, and then open the file in Autodesk

5. Under File Tab ► Export ► Options ► Export Setups DWG/DXF you can specify how
Revit will export to DWG

Among other things, sets which layers the different elements should be placed in how line
types and shavings are handled, etc..
