Heating System Renovations
Remove residential heating system components. Includes hauling components from the site. No
salvage value assumed. Costs will be higher if components include detectable friable asbestos or if
access to the site is limited. If the furnace or ductwork is wrapped in asbestos, you may be legally
required to follow asbestos abatement procedures. This may require the services of a specialized
asbestos abatement contractor.

Remove residential heating duct. Includes hauling components from the site. No salvage value
assumed. Costs will be higher if components include detectable friable asbestos or if access to the site
is limited. If the furnace or ductwork is wrapped in asbestos, you may be legally required to follow
asbestos abatement procedures. This may require the services of a specialized asbestos abatement
contractor. Add the cost of patching wall, floor or ceiling surfaces and the cost of closing openings after
duct is removed. Large register openings in a gravity system can be converted to cold air returns in a
forced air system. This avoids closing and patching large wall openings.
