2000 FCI Racing European Championship, Beringen Belgium, September 2-3, mixed

Three weeks before the event, vandals sprayed the grass with weed killer. Nevertheless,
volunteers from Beringen managed to prepare a suitable turf for the championship. 385
sighthounds from 12 countries were registered, of which 13 Sloughis. Very well organized
event with very friendly volunteers.

2001 FCI Racing World Championship, Münster, Germany, June 9-10
About 400 dogs from 13 different countries were registered. About 7000 spectators were
at the venue during the weekend. A lot of volunteers from different countries worked at

this event. A lot of work had to be done shortly before because of the heavy rainfall.
Fortunately Münster is a sand track! This type of event requires a long preparation time
of more than a year and is not comparable to a regular major international competition.
The championship almost did not take place due to a foot-and-mouth disease outbreak.
