MOROCCO

G’Zal Ouled Laouichat G’Zal never left Morocco but was bred
there to various Sloughias, European and

Moroccan.

There is no indication as to the breeder’s or
the owner’s names.

Nor do we know when G’Zal was born, but

it was prior to 1993 when his first recorded
breeding was to a Sloughia of German
breeding.

Not much is known about his temperament
either, but if his popularity as a stud at the
time is any indication, he must have had a

decent character.

Six additional recorded breeding took place in Morocco at “des Hammadates de
Merzougha” (1994, 1995, 2 x 1996, plus 1 with no date), and “de la Baume Cromagnon”
(1995).

G’Zal’s bloodline is still alive in Germany and the USA. In addition, 3 of his descendants,
bred in Morocco, came to France and the Czech Republic later, and they have

descendants in these countries and many other countries. A son of Jnah Douar Oulad
Maachou, Armah, was bred to a German Sloughia daughter of G’Zal in 1999 (see Jnah’s
pages in this issue).
