Moving examinations online
A new approach to examinations at the university is proposed: Examination methods
should change (in South Africa and globally) from sit‐down, venue‐based examinations to

The university already has the online structure in place to implement online examinations
(e.g. the Samigo and J‐Router portfolios). However, staff members do not use the
technologies as originally intended; lecturers still follow the paper‐based examination
approach.
