               Dear Judging Committee,

               As the Human Resources Director of La Cabana Beach Resort and Casino, I recognize Igmar
               Franken, F&B Manager as the Manager of the Year nominee for the AHATA Excellence

               Award 2019.

               Igmar Franken started 28 years ago as a Bartender and has developed himself into the
               successful F&B Manager he is today. Following find the career journey of Igmar Franken at
               La Cabana:

               Promoted       November 1, 2000             Head Bartender
               Promoted       January 15, 2003             Beverage Manager
               Promoted       October 1, 2013              Food & Beverage Manager


               Igmar always portrays a professional appearance and he is a firm believer in the company’s
               Purpose, Values and Mission. His passion, dedication, loyalty and disposition for self-
               development inspires many and contributes to his success within the company. He is
               customer focused, team oriented, cares for his associates, a good communicator, a great
               listener, a coach and counselor who is very knowledgeable in Financial F&B cost analysis +
               F&B budget forecasting.

               Igmar is strategic, goal oriented and very successful in meeting and exceeding his
               departmental goals. He played an instrumental role in the past 7 years in taking the F&B
               department to financial stability. He leads by example and uses the Management by
               Walking Around approach. Igmar constantly assesses the operation and handles problems
               proactively. He is a team player, a motivator and inspires his team to perform to their best
               and to believe in the company purpose “We Create Memorable Vacations”. That was noticeable
               in our Voice of Customer (VOC) surveys.

               Igmar has successfully revamped and enforced the F&B Manual to include Job descriptions
               with their Standard Operation Procedures. He trains his team on the importance of setting
               standards in service and recognizes their positive performances. Igmar values on the spot
