A Letter from our Food & Beverage Director – Mr. Pierre Kock


                To Whom it may concern,

                With 28 years working at La Cabana, lgmar has shown his dedication, passion, motivation

                and willingness to develop and grow with the company. Every day lgmar is at work, he
                gives his utmost to make sure our guests are happy and that our associates are taken care
                of. lgmar started here as a bartender and through the years taking courses and developing
                himself on a regular basis he is now in the position of Food and Beverage Manager.
                During his years here at La Cabana in the food and beverage department, Igmar was
                proactive in learning all about financials and challenged himself to become an expert in

                financial cost, budgets and forecasting. This resulted in him together with the food and
                beverage team and the accounting department to bring positive financial results for the
                resort. In the past years with the separation of La Cabana Resort and La Cabana Villas, the
                food and beverage department were experiencing financial loss but at this moment we are
                making financial profits for several years already in a row.

                Igmar has a keen sense for the operation and together with the F&B associates strive to make
                sure our guests are satisfied. His is there with the associates and is in operation at the peak
                hours to make sure our guests are happy and satisfied with both service and quality of food

                but also to support the associates during the peak hours. He is approachable and always ready
                to coach and guide any associate. lgmar is also a facilitator for the HHH program
                (Hospitality Happens Here) and trains the food and beverage associates during the year in
                providing the best service to our guests. In 2017 the food and beverage department year result
                in the Medallia Guest survey was one of the highest compared to other departments. lgmar
                shows passion when he is at work and that is the kind of person he is. He is a motivator, gives
                guidance and support, and counsels anyone that approaches him with a work-related issue or

                a personal issue asking for advice.

                lgmar has been very much involved also with the community and has been in different
                organization doing volunteer work. With this also he took different courses to become a
                trained medical response official and he volunteered for the Search and Rescue Foundation
                of Aruba and the Medical Response Team of La Cabana. This shows that he is an all-around
                man that is dedicated at his work but also cares for the community doing volunteer work.
