A letter from our General Manager – Mr. Joe Najjar
Dear Judging Committee,

It is my sincere pleasure to introduce Frank D. Sabajo as our candidate for the
2019 AHATA Excellence Awards in the category of Sustainability Champion!

Throughout the years, Frank has shown an unparalleled passion for protecting

our environment and has consistently worked to promote sustainability
throughout La Cabana and Aruba as well. Frank is our Safety and

Environment Manager and has been with the company for over twenty-four
years. He was hired as a Shift Engineer and was promoted to Lead Shift

Engineer because of his hard work and perseverance. Frank’s journey with La
Cabana did not stop there, as he continued demonstrating his abilities and his

passion for environmental developments and was again promoted; this time to
Energy Coordinator. Frank is very ambitious and continued to learn and

develop himself earning himself his current role as Safety and Environment
Manager.

Throughout the years, Frank has shown an unparalleled passion for protecting

our environment and has consistently worked to promote sustainability
throughout La Cabana and Aruba as well.

Frank’s sense of ownership and pride are on display every day; he researches
ways and means that help us reduce our carbon footprint, he conducts training

sessions amongst our Associates to teach them about how they can Reduce,
Reuse and Recycle at home.

Frank has been instrumental in ensuring the lowering of our energy

consumption, waste sent to landfill and greenhouse gas emissions in 2017.
Because of his efforts and spreading of awareness amongst his colleagues

throughout La Cabana, Frank has been allowed us to positively impact our
finances by saving the property almost AWG 400,000 in energy compared to
