Dear Judging Committee,

It is my sincere pleasure to introduce Mr. Delano Frank Sabajo better known as Frank as the
nominee for the AHATA Excellence Award Sustainably Champion 2019.

Frank started 25 years ago as a Shift Engineer and has developed himself into the
successful Environmental & Safety Manager he is today. Following find the career journey
of Delano Frank Sabajo at La Cabana:

Hired on June 1, 1994 Shift Engineer
Promoted February 1, 1998 Sr. Shift Engineer
Promoted January 1, 2001 Energy & Safety Coordinator
Promoted January 1, 2002 Engineering Technician III
Promoted April 1, 2004 Environmental & Safety Manager

Frank plays an instrumental role in the Engineering department. Throughout the years
Frank has proven to be very passionate about protecting our environment and has led La
Cabana to be a Champion in Sustainability under his guidance. He continuously searches
for methods that can help save energy and reduce waste. Conducting training sessions to our
associates he teaches them how they can Reduce, Reuse and Recycle at work as well as at
home in their own time.

Frank has become the go to person when it comes to conducting Safety Trainings at La
Cabana. All new-hires receive a Safety Orientation Manual Training which Frank plays a
key part in. He works very well with the Human Resources Department ensuring all
associates are consistently provided with the correct information and techniques regarding

safety and the protection of our environment. He also stresses on the importance of seeing
clear goals in his area and makes sure that customer satisfaction is a major priority. Aside
from establishing discipline, Frank ensures that associates practicing safety and being
mindful are recognized.
