A Letter from our Assistant General Manager – Ms. Jessica Franken

Dear Judging Committee:

We recognize, celebrate, reward and honor our exemplary associates here at La Cabana Beach
Resort and Casino. It is therefore that we would like for the world outside of La Cabana to

know this and have therefore nominated Jeanette Brooks as Supervisor of the year for the
AHATA EXCELLENCE AWARD. As the Assistant General Manager with over 30 years of
service at the prestigious Resort, I can with pride and honor recommend Jeanette for this
prominent award. Her longevity of more than 24 years in this service industry is a
testament in the quality that she delivers for our external and internal customers. With
Jeanette, it is all about attitude and willingness to excel and become a servant leader. Jeanette
is known for her calm demeanor under stressful circumstances. You can call her the octopus

in her department because it is amazing how she can take care of anything that comes her
way. She is the liaison between the whole Food and Beverage world of La Cabana which can
be complex. That does not shy her away to make things happen. Jeanette is the left and right
hand of F&B management. She can be a partner in the kitchen operation ensuring that
associates are conforming, she oversees the restaurant when needed and can jump from being
a hostess to a cashier while coaching and advising staff members that work under stressful

situations to ensure their priority is customer satisfaction. One of her goals is to market and
sell our F&B amenities and facilities to contribute to the financial stability of the Resort.
She will run with the responsibility to facilitate and coordinate events, banquets, parties etc.
and ensures total satisfaction of her customers. Her associate relation is exceptional because
she always exemplifies a positive attitude with an agile approach even when dealing with
challenging circumstances. A beautiful smile all the time. She is what our service culture is
all about. Jeanette strives for excellence and is an example for many that work in the
hospitality business.
