Ianto will make his showring debut just as soon
as dog shows start up again.

When we started showing in 2014, there were
no ETT classes at any Scottish Open Dog
Shows, and any ETTs which did show were
continually consigned to AVNSC classes. After
a year of perseverance, and following steady
entries of three-four ETTs in AV classes, the
Scottish Toydog Society agreed to include an
ETT Open class. Following on from that several
Show Secretaries offered classes “if we could
get the numbers up”, with particularly strong
support from the Scottish Toydog and North of
Scotland Toydog Committees. From that small
start the number of ETT classes at Scottish We are continuing to develop our Edalene
Shows has grown from only 1or 2 in 2013, to 15 Kennel. In February 2020 we had our third
In 2015, to the 30 which were programmed for litter. A mating of Ianto (Sharex Terrys All Gold

different kennels across Scotland and the UK produced three lovely pups. Dan (Edalene In A
regularly represented in the Scottish Showring Silent Way), Daisy (Edalene I Waited For You)
and making their mark both at Scottish and UK and Viggo (Edalene Blues By Five) are now
level. And our Edalenes form a large part of bringing ETT joy to three fantastic new owners.
that. The numbers showing may still be small
compared to other breeds, but they are growing, And we can now start to plan for the next
and more importantly are winning top places, Edalene litter in our breeding programme.
which is encouraging a growing interest in our
vulnerable breed. by Dr Steve Inch
