Melting Moments
200g soft margarine Method
150g caster sugar 1. Cream margarine and sugar together.
275g self raising flour 2. Best egg and vanilla together then add to the margarine and
sugar mix
1 egg
3. Add the flour and mix to a dough.
Vanilla essence
4. Wet your hands and roll a teaspoon of the mixture into balls
Crushed cornflakes,
flaked oats, nibbled 5. Toss in the coating of your choice (crushed cornflakes & rolled
almonds or brown oats are pictured)
sugar for coating 6. A cherry can be added to middle (optional)
Cherries optional 7. As they will spread while cooking, place the coated balls well
apart on a greased baking tray and bake for 15 minutes at
200°C for 15 minutes
8. Allow to cool slighty before removing from tray
9. Makes about 3 dozen
