We, that is my husband and I, began showing
dogs when we married in 1977. Our breed of
choice was the most beautiful and elegant of
dogs the English Setter. Our showing career
ensued with some success for the following
twenty years bound together with burgeoning
careers and a growing family.

It happened quite by accident that our lives were
rudely interrupted by the autonomous decision
of our youngest daughter. We had foolishly
promised that she could have any small breed
