Vernon's Pumpkin Decorating Contest
Following the success of last year's contest, Vernon hosted another pumpkin decorating contest this year. The contest was
open to everyone in the home office. Eight employees competed for one of three coveted prizes (Hy-Vee gift cards), along with
bragging rights. After judging, the pumpkins were displayed in the kitchen area at Vernon for a few days before being donated
to local nursing homes.
