Statistics and Finance



               Aims: To further develop statistical and financial literacy. To enhance the ability to communicate
               statistical ideas and build an understanding of personal financial responsibility.

               Competencies: Problem Solving and Modelling; Mathematical and Statistical Thinking; Mathematical
               and Statistical Communication; Technological Skills; Financial Literacy.
               Pathways this course contributes towards: This course provides practical skills for students leaving
               school and starting tertiary study or moving to employment.

               Other essential information:  A prerequisite is competency shown in Level 1 Mathematics and
               Statistics standards. This course is fully internally assessed and so there is no opportunity for subject
               endorsement.
