Digital Technology
Aims: In Digital Technology, students will develop an understanding of digital media and
computer science principals and apply design thinking to solve a problem. They will gather
information and develop their outcome, debugging issues through a series of steps for a fit-
for-purpose digital solution. Practical skills include image manipulation and web design,
coding, data, storage, debugging, robotics, and media.
Competencies: This subject aims to nurture courageous students who can problem solve
using logical thinking. Students will investigate and be influenced by human societal,
environmental, historical and technological factors. Students will become creators of Digital
Technology, not just users.
Pathways this course contributes towards: This subject leads into Creative Industries,
Business, Engineering, Industrial, Media, Graphic Design and Computer Science.
