Hunger Sweeps On  The Difference

 All in the world yearn for food,  What is the difference between a man,
 Yet hunger sweeps on.  Living in the biggest, most luxurious villas,
 The world’s systems are crude,  And one lying on a carpet beside a road?
 As many don’t eat,  Is it the fortune or is it the millions,
 And leftovers go unchewed.  The hard work or the followers?

 Hunger is an issue,  Why do they dream of buildings with thousands of floors,
 That must be addressed.  Yet not one of them theirs?
 Food is scarce,  They see people sitting atop those buildings,
 Because for many,  Looking down at them with disgust.
 It cannot be accessed.  And how would they feel,
        When they know it isn’t their fault?
 The people make a stand,  That it isn’t their fault that their parents were rich,
 Without the government’s help.  It isn’t their fault that they weren’t born being fed with a silver
 When another plan gets shot down,  spoon.
 All the hungry can do is yelp.  Yet they suffer the consequences,
        Screaming and cursing at life for their misfortune.
 Once again, their cries heard by deaf ears,
 Once again, they have to fend for themselves.  What is the difference?
 Who will help them, in this cruel world?
 In a world that’s selfish, in a world that’s greedy,  Aryan Dahal
 Who shall take care of the needy?  MYP -4
