Lake Powell is a reservoir on the
Colorado River, straddling the
border of Utah (top) and Arizona
(bottom). Flooded by the Glen
Canyon Dam in 1963, it has been
suffering from low water levels
in recent years due to extended
2
droughts. Covering 658km , at
full capacity the lake holds over
30 billion cubic metres of water.
